Kram Covers are crafted from high-grade stainless steel, offering strength and rust resistance for long-term performance.
We manufacture three standard sizes, measured internally for easy access to the manhole below:
• 350 × 350 × 18mm
• 520 × 520 × 18mm
• 650 × 650 × 18mm
Kram Covers are strong enough to support the weight of a car when correctly installed. However, they don’t allow for the full 18mm resin depth needed to fully bear vehicle loads. For this reason, we don’t recommend placing them directly in the path of moving wheels. They are suitable for areas with vehicle traffic, as long as they're positioned outside of direct tyre paths.
The 5mm holes are designed for drainage, allowing water to escape from the recess. Combined with the permeable nature of resin, they help prevent moisture buildup and maintain surface performance.
Yes — to ensure proper adhesion, we recommend priming the recess before applying the resin. Be sure to check with your resin supplier for the most suitable primer for your chosen product.
Yes — our recessed manhole covers are officially design protected through the Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) as of July 2024. This protection applies across the UK and Europe, ensuring our design cannot be copied or reproduced by others.
