What are the covers made from?

Our covers are made from high-quality stainless steel to prevent rusting once installed.

What sizes do you manufacture?

We offer three sizes, based on internal dimensions to ensure easy access to the manhole cover below:

• 350 x 350 x 18mm

• 520 x 520 x 18mm

• 650 x 650 x 18mm

Can a car drive over the covers?

The covers are strong enough to handle the weight of a car when installed properly, however they don’t allow for the full 18mm depth of resin needed to fully support vehicle loads. Because of this, we don’t recommend using them where cars will drive directly over them. However, they’re fine to use in areas with vehicle traffic, as long as they’re not in the direct path of the wheels.

What are the small holes in the recess for?

The small 5mm holes are designed to allow water to drain from the recess. Since the resin is permeable, these holes ensure any water that enters can escape, preventing moisture buildup.

Do I need to prime the recess before applying the resin?

Yes — for the best adhesion, we recommend priming the recess of the cover before applying the resin. Check with your resin supplier to find the most suitable primer for your specific resin.

Are the covers design protected?

Yes — our recessed manhole covers are officially design protected through the Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), covering both the UK and Europe, as of July 2024. This legal protection means the design is exclusive to us and cannot be copied or reproduced by others in any form.
